I am sure you have read the Footprints in the Sand before, it such a wonderful poem and the concept is feels wonderful. However, yesterday I had another thought around the snow. I was just cleaning up the walkway from the ice and snow and I looked over my lawn. The lawn were covered with footprints, oh there were little kids footprints, adult footprints, dog prints, cat prints and even a few bird prints. Then I looked around at other lawns, most had none. It kind of reminded me of summer time too, most of them have those perfect lawns and yet you never see them. I kind of …no I really enjoy the fun activities and trill everyone had with the reason snow. It sure is more fun sliding in the snow and throwing snow balls, then just looking out the window.
So I go back to my footprints in the snow – How I love seeing those footprints in the snow, because they remind me of all the fun my family had in the snow. Thank you snow storm for giving us the one more big snow for us to enjoy and plan.
Stepping it up
Earlier in the day I was told one of my boys might need help with his car, so I decided to enjoy lunch and watch a movie. I watched a movie called stepping it up. It was a very good movie and story to learn from. There was this troubled kid who only thought about his pain and anger. Later he focused his energy on dancing and stepping it up. He turned his focus around, oh there were a few times the pressure of others pulled him back down, but he got back up. I loved the part where he said he finally stepped it up and wants to continue improving his life. What a wonderful concept for all of us to live by step it up and go to the next level. We can always step it up in life, take the challenge. Do a little extra at work and home and you will be amazed with your new life.
Celebrating life
I had my niece come in town this weekend. When I asked what’s up, she told me they were getting together to celebrate her brother’s life. Just a few years ago her brother passed away suddenly. I love the concept of celebrating his life. He was such a joy to be around and we all truly loved him. They planned on watching old movies and sharing stories about him. What a great way to remember all those who have passed away.
