I remember when my father n law moved closer to us and the family was trying to figure out what to do with his old house. One person said the house is such a mess and needs so much work it will be impossible let’s just sell it cheap. In fact she had someone who did some work on the roof and offered to buy the house for a crazy low price. We all went over to the house to look it over and none of them could see a way to fix this picture. Finally I said, listen we can fix this place up and get a good price so he can enjoy the profits in his new home.
I started the project one room at a time. I would empty a room out, check for repairs required and move on to the next room. At the end of each weekend I would make a list of supplies needed for the next weekend. The next weekend I would repair what I listed from the prior weekend, and then clean another room. Every weekend for almost a year I continued this effort. In the end I fixed and painted the entire house, completely remodeled the kitchen and bathroom, installed wall to wall carpet, and complete changed the outside of the house. One of the neighbors came over and told me I turned this house into the best looking house in the neighborhood.
Now don’t get me wrong you need to think of all the tasks needed to find your freedom, but don’t let the planning stop you from taking action. The issue with personal change is taking on too much or getting scared of all the tasks. Don’t let that stop you, just take action. One step at a time doing something positive will also make you free better about yourself. Completing one minor action each day or week feeds you in more ways than you can imagine. Oh, and don’t forget to always place your joy and love into the change.
Much joy and love to you and yours
