As for my son Mike, I had it all planned out when the doctor told us we were going to have a boy and his birthday would be in August. Right away I said he must be born on Aug. 8, he laughed and said we will see how it works out. Well sure enough on Aug. 1 Mike decided it was time to come out. A few kicks and pains and we went to the doctor. Next thing we rushed to the hospital to bring another gift of joy and love into our lives.
That is how he arrived early and how he lives his life. Mike sets his mind on something and it done, no questions allowed. When he was young he was so much fun and always found a way to make the event even more fun. My favorite is the time we went to a putt putt and the theme was pirates. Just a couple holes later as we were enjoying a fun game of golf, there was Mike jumping on the plank. He was jumping up and down saying hey dad look at this a diving board.
Another fun story about Mike is soccer. Early on Mike showed skills with his feet but for some reason could not score. Finally his coach set him up to score in a game. She had him stay as far up as he could and when the ball came down the field he took it in. Score… Yes from that day forward he was a scoring machine.
Now as an adult Mike has a daughter, and I have to say he is very supportive and protective for his little girl. I can see in Mike’s eyes he has the love for his little girl as I have always loved my son, Mike.
Much joy and love to you and yours
