I believe I told you the other day about my joys of holiday meals. Everyone sat down for a wonderful dinner, just 16 people this time. We all enjoyed all the food and chatting about life. Then I brought out the deserts and really put a smile on a few faces. Most loved the strawberry tarts I made, really its just a strawberry pie put in small shells. Really were good.
After the dinner we all cleaned up some, then almost everyone ran outside to play in the wonderful day we had. I filled the dishwasher and decided to take a break and see what was on TV. Amazing as it was they were playing Oklahoma – it’s a musical. I was in heaven, singing along and dancing around. Good thing everyone was outside. I love it, just don’t have the talent with singing or dancing. Then to top that off on came Easter Parade. I told someone I was watching Easter Parade, and they asked where the parade was??? So, funny.
The Movie Easter Parade is so wonderful, the music and story just amazes me. You see there is a part of the movie where this guy says he can make anyone into a dancing star. That was because his dancing partner decided to go another way. Well in comes Hanna Brown and he shows her the way he wants her to dance. It took some time and finally he changes and tells her to be herself. When they used that energy they made magic on the dance floor. The show does end with an Easter Parade in New York city.
The fun part is we are all special and can be super stars if only we used our talents and hearts at the same time.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is ja new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
