As I was leaving a concert the other day, I was sitting in traffic and thinking about the wonderful concert and all the joy I felt. As I was thinking about the joy it hit me, I have nobody to share that joy with. I noticed all the cars around me filled with people and I was alone. Just then this young girl yells out from her backseat of the car next to me. She simply said, Hello. At first I was thinking is this some kind of kids jokes. She repeated her word, Hello. Finally I turned my head and said, Hello. She waved and said, I hope you had a great time at the concert and you have a blessed night. She continued waving and had a smile of joy and I could feel a real joy. I simply said, Thank you, you have a wonderful night too.
I just keep thinking about that moment, it was like an angel was saying Hello to me. It brings great joy to me remembering a simple Hello.
I see the joy of saying Hello every time I visit my mother’s assisted care place. As I walk in there are always a bunch of people sitting in around and I greet them all with a Hello. I can see it brings a smile to each of them, once I understood that I do it every time I visit my mother.
It is a simple word and act, which can bring massive joy to others and yourself. Just put some joy and love in your Hello to greet people along your path today. By the end of the day you will feel joyful too.
Much joy and love to you and yours
