Today there are electronic messages, and some people are reading hundreds of those messages per day. Forget the email I am just talking about text or twitter or other instant messages. I think it’s funny how some people have so much to say in instant messages and yet have nothing to say in person. I really don’t get those messages, so I asked about them. It turns out they are just short messages, some about Betty liking Joe. They also post messages about every little thing in life. On my way to get gas. Just woke up. What are you wearing? Etc.
You could say most of those messages are fun to write and read. Then there are those mean messages about false rumors or hate. Today one of those messages can reach hundreds of people in an instant. It may start out as a joke or from a hurt, but in truth it will hurt the person the joke is about. I have heard girls in my car discuss those messages. I want to chase down that message and destroy it, but it’s too late it has spread. I told them once just stop reading it and put it out of your mind.
There is a very old quote about messages, it goes something like this. You should question all messages, if the message is a rumor throw it away. If the message is about someone else throw it away. If the message is not directly from the source, throw it away. It’s all about seeking the truth in the messages you read and trust.
I suggest you start writing nice message to share joy and love. It feels better to write and much better to the readers. Here is a really fun suggestion. Write a few wonderful messages to yourself on post-it and put them around your home and car. Just think, you wake up and see a note on the mirror, I love you. Wow what a wonderful way to start the day.
Much joy and love to you and yours
