I really enjoy riding the waves at the beach, getting on top of a huge wave and riding it all the way in is so much fun.
However in life riding some of those life or work waves are not that much fun. I know myself I had a number of crazy waves in the office each day last week. Each day full of issues and a client yelling at us the entire time. I faced all of the issues head on and pushed to get them resolved, worked a few extra hours and as I did I ended up with the best week I had in years. This is all about balance; I focus and worked on the issues, but left them at the office when I went home. The other thing I did is I kept myself open to receive love in other ways.
Just to think over the past week besides work and the general stuff, I released a new book full of joy and love, I went to a wonderful concert, enjoyed a wonderful steak dinner at my sister in laws house, and went out on a boat ride and watched everyone ride waves on a tube. I will talk about those waves another time.
I know myself how one issue can completely destroy a day, a week, or longer. However, you can also change your focus to joy and love. It does not make this issues stop, but it does changes how you resolve them. I also learned to keep myself open to receive joy and love from others.
You can do the same thing…just change your focus and allow your joy and love to flow.
