A number of years ago I was on a trip in California, the plan was to complete work in California one week and travel directly to Washington State on Monday. The customer did not want to pay for flying home and back, so they approved paying for me and my team to say on the west coast for the weekend. Saturday morning just two of us decided to adventure and we found a wonderful park, something about Redwood trees. As we walked about this amazing location we saw trees taller and wider than anything I have ever seen.
As we continued our journey, I heard a noise. I said, let’s go faster I want to see what is making that sound. As we went around the corner there is was, the most amazing waterfall I have ever seen. The water was coming from a high peak, about 250 feet up and flowing so smooth. I watched in amazement as the water came crashing down into the lagoon. I reviewed the water in the lagoon and said look how clear the water is, it so pure and wonderful. I walked closer to the edge and leaned over to fill my hands with that amazing water.
The water was cool and felt so much different than any water I ever felt. I looked around and took a step into the water. Oh it felt so wonderful I had to take another couple steps. My legs were feeling wonderful and I felt more at peace than ever. My friend talked me out of the water, but then I said lets follow the path to the edge of the waterfall. That was when I discovered this little spot waiting for me to explore. Yes, I was standing between the water and the mountain. I put my arms out and felt the water falling on my arms. It was kind of hard and fast and yet smooth to the touch. I took in those moments and said, wow this is one amazing place. Full of power and yet the most peaceful spot I have ever visited.
Take some time today and remember one of your favorite spots. I know I was reliving that amazing trip and loved it.
Much joy and love to you and yours
