I really enjoy watching those videos of amazing things people do. It excites me to see the amazing actions they perform and makes me think I would like to do that too.
Then I stop and tell myself no you can’t do those acts, I am too old, or not fit enough, and on and on the ideas come that blocks me. That reminds me of an event that stopped me all my young years. My mother told me we are not roller coaster people, it’s too crazy and too scary. Then one day my niece cried how she wants to ride the roller coaster and she didn’t have anyone to take her. I said fine let’s do it, and I took her hand and we went to ride the roller coaster. I remember feeling all those fears as we walked along the path to ride the ride. I was close to wanting to run back, but I looked at my niece and she was smiling and so happy we were going. I took a deep breath and got on the ride, shaking like crazy, my niece just said it will be fun you will see. Off the ride went and we were climbing up and up and my nerves were going crazy, I had tears but I stayed strong for my niece. As we reached the top she said take a deep breath now, and away we went down and around and around and I laughed when the ride was over.
Amazing how I let some thought in my mind stopped me from enjoying new ventures and actions. I decided to look around and try a few more new things today. I don’t think I will jump off a cliff today, but
I may do something else I find amazing. I will not let old thoughts stop me for doing and going on amazing ventures.
How about you. What is stopping you from doing something amazing. Let the old thought go and take a chance and live beyond your old thoughts to new wonderful thought.
