Remember in the spring when I wrote about planting your dreams like a garden.

Then in the summer I talked about caring for your dreams as you do in a garden, beware of the weeds.

Well my friends I just completely cleared out my garden.

It was a great success we enjoyed lots of veggies from the garden, but now that season is over.  Well to be honest, there has been little growth over the past few weeks and I stopped paying attention to my garden.  Well, yesterday when I went to clear it there were also lots of weeds. 

Are your dreams the same?  Do you get excited with a dream, enjoy it as good things are happening, and then stop paying attention when it slows down?

The garden is over for the season, but not my dreams.  I used yesterday as a wake up for me to clear the weeds and get focused on the success and passion I have for my dreams.  Today I got up early and got really focused on my dreams and took action.  Here is the thing about dreams, sometimes they are just goals, which has an ending.  I have really big dreams with lots of little goals, so when I got refocused I also set new goals and see myself reaching closer to that dream.

Emotions

Are your emotions holding your back?  Maybe your so numb you feel no emotions?

Either way our emotions do get in the way to your true love.  We over think things, we feel upset for no reason, we just shut down, all from emotional caring.

I know I recently came to this discovery of myself.  All of the issues I just listed were me, I was not a happy person at times and could not figure out why.  The truth is I was never emotionally cared for, in fact I was told not to be emotional.  Oh there were the times I really seemed emotionally happy and excited, with getting married, having kids, great jobs, and the good list goes on.  But in true I was left alone without knowing what emotions really are.

I took this to heart and researched the subject and discovered one solution that helped me.  It from a Psychiatrist and author of Guilt, Shame, and Anxiety explains how to liberate your feelings—and yourself. By Peter R. Breggin, MD
He lays out three steps to release the emotions holding you back.
Step 1: Identify Your Negative Legacy Emotions
Step 2: Reject Any Compliance With These Emotions
Step 3: Triumph Over and Transcend These Emotions
 
Here is the key to me is waking up to emotions, facing them head on, then triumph them with LOVE.  Yes, there it is again Joy and Love always spells happiness.
