When I was young my sister had this friend knocking on the door and she just turned up the music, playing the song I hear you knocking but you can’t come in. It was really funny as a kid, but later in life I tried knocking on other doors and could not get in. Oh there were doors of opportunities I believed I was a great fit for, but they never heard me knocking. Looking back a number of those opportunities were not right for me any ways.
What I learned over the years is when you put joy and love into your actions more doors do open up for you. I remember this one time I was excited to do anything in this new job. The customer told me to work with this lady and develop a plan to connect all he offices with a network. For some reason nobody wanted to work with this lady, I went into her office we discussed the program and I quickly learned there was just ideas and no plans. As I put together the plan we got closer and working with her came fun. Soon I learned she was sick and could not travel, so I would be the person traveling to these offices. Each day I would call her and tell her the status and she gave me idea to resolve any issues. It took us two years to complete that project and we created a few additional projects in the process. We were very successful and enjoyed the projects and our time together.
Some of those doors I had to knock on were regional offices and they questioned me as to why they would want a network. When I fully presented the concept to them with joy and love they opened the door and allowed us to proceed.
When you have a door not opening for you. Give it some joy and love in your actions and either the door opens or another one will open for you.
Much joy and love to you and yours
