I remember the time I was hired for this amazing job, I had a great title and was making so much more money I was excited. The first week on the job, they moved office locations, which was exciting, but made the commute a little longer. Then they had this amazing picnic party, my family loved it. Then as I was getting into my job, I had a few questions. Why I am in this office over here and my team is on the other side of the building. Then there was this procurement, a huge deal mind you, so I was getting quotes and reviewing requirements with proposals. This is when I discovered I had placed my ladder on the wrong place. The boss came to me and said, you don’t need to review all those proposals, here is the winner. Make it happen and all will be good. I was amazed, I called my old boss and asked to come back, when he said yes, I walked down to the boss and said I am leaving I will not do anyone’s dirty work.
All of our lives we have so many choices to make, but what we don’t always do is understand those choices define us. It’s not your family, where you were raised, not the schools, it’s not the color of your skin or gender. It’s all about the choices we make on this journey of life. The best part is it not even about your past, you can choose again. You can change your life in a moment with a change in your choices. Look ahead to where you want to be, look ahead and believe everything is possible.
Let’s move our ladders to a place which leads us to more joy and love. Together everything is possible.
Much joy and love to you and yours.
